Homework due 9/4

Vocabulary:
Lesson Three Caesar's English Stems. Test over both lesson one and lesson three on Friday. Tuesday is writing an extra example word for each stem. Wednesday is writing a sentence with context clues showing me you know the meaning of the stem and how it helps define the word you are using.
Example: The INTERnet is the key to global awareness with its ability to make connections BETWEEN people all over the world.

Reading:
Independently read for 20 minutes over the weekend...how about 30...40? Extra minutes logged will turn into points for your Greek City-States! Reading is awesome!
HW: read for 20+

Writing:
While you are reading, look for how authors describe settings. How do they create the setting images in your head? Start looking for character descriptions. We will be starting practice describing characters so that your words paint these images in the brains of your readers.
HW: n/a

Science:
We researched M&M's. Tuesday we will plan our experiments using the scientific method.
What is your question?
What is your hypothesis?
What is your independent variable?
What is your dependent variable?
What is your control group?
How will you record your data?
HW: start thinking about the questions above.

Social Studies:
Continued Greek simulation. Most already have their Venn Diagram and Mini Books completed during work-time in class. If you DO NOT have them done, they are officially due on Tuesday.
HW: Be sure you have completed Venn Diagram and Mini Book.
